At AutismCare, we want to make autism assessments and therapy as accessible as possible. Our clinicians are fully registered with PSI and CORU, meaning your assessments and therapy sessions may be eligible for reimbursement through your private health insurance.
How "Pay and Claim" Works
For most psychology, OT, and speech and language therapy benefits, the process is simple.
Pay in Full
You pay AutismCare for your assessment or therapy session in full at the time of booking.
Get Your Receipt
You receive a detailed receipt/invoice including clinician name, registration number, and service provided.
Claim Your Refund
You submit the receipt to your insurer (via their app, online portal, or post) to claim your refund.

In many cases, yes. Autism assessments conducted by PSI-registered Clinical Psychologists are typically covered under the psychology benefit of most private health insurance plans. The amount you get back depends on your specific plan. We provide all the necessary documentation for you to submit a claim.

Yes. After your assessment or therapy sessions, we provide a detailed receipt/invoice with all the details insurers typically require — including session dates, costs, clinician name, and their PSI or CORU registration number.
For insurance claims, you will likely need to choose a psychologist based in your country of residence. At AutismCare, we'll provide you with information about each psychologist at the time of booking so you can make the right choice for your insurance.
Yes — in addition to insurance, you may be eligible for 20% tax relief on medical expenses through Revenue. For example, the adult assessment (€1,887) could yield a potential tax rebate of up to €375. You can claim this through Revenue's Med 1 form.
